Solent Yacht Charters

For anyone considering a day out on a sailing yacht, one of the best places in the UK to experience a day under sail is out on the Solent.

With convenient access from across the country, the south coast along the Solent is an ideal place to begin a yacht charter trip. From Hamble to Lymington, there are plenty of marinas and moorings where it is easy to climb aboard and set sail for an exhilarating day out on the water.

An open area of sea off the south coast, the Solent is protected by the Isle of Wight to the south, ensuring that the wilder waves of the deep ocean don’t make their way across it. Yet at the same time, the Solent’s size is large enough to experience a variety of wind conditions that make for very enjoyable sailing year round. And a range of challenging tidal conditions means that skilled seamanship is vital to ensure safe passage. So a Solent yacht charter is a great way to experience the area, while leaving the navigation and handling of the yacht to an experienced skipper and crew.

The Solent has been a favourite sailing area for many years. Whether you are setting sail in a classic sailing yacht or a modern cruising yacht, the area has beautiful vistas and great places to visit. It’s a great setting for a day out, and a Solent yacht charter is the ideal way to experience the area in style. Whether for a special occasion or just a great way of getting together with family or friends, a yacht charter means you will be looked after all day long by a capable crew, while enjoying the luxurious surroundings of an ocean going yacht.

Solent yacht charters can take in a wide variety of destinations, depending on the wind and tides. A trip to Cowes on the Isle of Wight makes a great setting to tie up for lunch. Alternatively it may be possible to make way to the shelter of Osborne Bay on the island’s north eastern coast. Then there’s the Beaulieu river, steeped in naval history and once home to the shipyards that built Britain’s naval fleet.

With plenty of alternatives to choose from, a Solent yacht charter is the ideal way to treat someone you care about, to a day they will never forget.

Welcome word from David Murrin:

I know it has not been the best summer on record, but that being said The Solent always has the best weather on the south coast of England, so it’s never quite as bad as the mainland!

We have re-designed the website so that the visitor gets some idea of charter destinations in the Solent, all of which are worth visiting, each with its own merits.

This year there are a host of amazing regattas on the Solent with some stunning yachts not often seen in the UK, all the details are in the calendar, and that’s not including the Olympics! Please remember that we can operate a charter at short notice so one can do a weather check.

Our mainstream product is a Corporate day catering for eight people. This works out at an all in cost of £312.00 per head including a fabulous lunch and plenty of good wines. Naturally if more than one charter is bought at once further discounts are available to a level of £218.00 per head.

In addition we have offered a day in which sailing is combined with a 60 minute presentation on my book, “Breaking the Code of History”. www.breakingthecodeofhistory.com. This would be suitable for all levels of business clients or colleagues.

In addition we run now a referral program. Any referral that leads to a charter is rewarded with a day’s sailing for one person. i.e. 8 referrals in a year would mean one free day for you and your guests of choice.

I would be happy to discuss any of the above any time, and thank you, in anticipation, for your support.
